Updated: May 17

Springfield, Ohio – May 2, 2024 – A new report by the Springfield Domestic Violence Coalition (SDVC) sheds light on a critical public safety issue.

The study found a lack of reporting of domestic violence arrests across Ohio. The study, analyzing data from the State of Ohio, Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigations on Domestic Violence, found that a troubling 56% of the 25 studied cities, representing 27.1% of the state's population (3,192,532 residents), reported only some or failed to report any domestic violence arrests to the State of Ohio, Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigations (OBCI) between 2018 and 2023.
